MAOP2026. International College on Modern Applications of Optics & Photonics

The second International College on Modern Applications of Optics and Photonics (MAOP2026) took place in Yerevan, Armenia, from 17 to 21 August 2026, bringing together students, researchers and invited speakers for five days of lectures, hands-on training, scientific presentations and panel discussions.

The college was hosted by the joint OPTICA and SPIE student chapter of Yerevan State University, in collaboration with the IPR Armenia OPTICA student chapter, the PhotonicsAI Laboratory at Yerevan State University, Brussels Photonics at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Institute for Physical Research. Its programme was designed especially for master’s and doctoral students while creating a meeting point for scientists, engineers and professionals working across contemporary optics and photonics.

MAOP2026 offered a welcoming setting for learning, discussion and new scientific connections across different areas of optics and photonics.
